Children Book: Jack Higgins

Did you know that Jack Higgins now writes children books?! The author of over 60 novels, mostly of thrillers is now of an interest of Erik!!

Daddy has been reading Jack Higgins' novels for a very long time. So it is not a surprise that we have novels laying around. Erik decided that he shall also "read" one of the novels, particularly "Dark Justice".



Mummy did her best to encourage her Erik's new interest. She showed Erik how to spell a couple of the words on the book cover.

Toddler Talk
Mummy: "What is this letter?"
Erik: "D!"
Mummy: "D! Good job! This?"
Erik: "A!"
Mummy: "A! Good job! This?"
Erik: "R!"
Mummy: "R! Good job! This?"
Erik: "K!"
Mummy: "K! Good job!! D-A-R-K is DARK!"
Erik: "DARK! I cannot see."

Hee Hee! That is correct! When it is dark Erik really cannot see!

Mummy: "What is this letter?"
Erik: "J!"
Mummy: "J! Good job! This?"
Erik: "A!"
Mummy: "A! Good job! This?"
Erik: "C!"
Mummy: "C! Good job! This?"
Erik: "K!"
Mummy: "K! Good job!! J-A-C-K spells JACK!"
Erik: "Jack. At school."

Yes, there is indeed a Jack at Erik's school but in a different class!

After that, Erik flipped through the pages and said "I cannot read. There are no pictures." He proceeded to make up his own story of Jack Higgins thriller and it goes a little bit like this.

The story starts out "A, B, C, D..." the entire alphabet song TWICE! Then the plot continues with the Disney's Jungle Book Elephant March song "Hup Two Three Four And A Hup Two Three Four...Company March...Attention!!...." Finally the thriller ends with a happily ever after of "Twinke Twinkle Little Star...How I wonder what you are?"
