Still Down with Bad Case of Cold / Flu

[cough!][cough!][hack!][hack!] This has been the sound by both of us all weekend long. In fact, it started on late Tuesday afternoon and both of our health took a down turn. We thought we were getting better on Friday evening, at least, we were hoping but nope! I've been stucked in bed trying to get as much sleep and rest as possible. We had to get Chhimi to the Urgent Care on Saturday since we were concerned he may have an ear and sinus infection due to his polyps. [Sigh!] Being sick really sucks and sours both of our moods!! The worst part is that being pregnant really limits what you can take to ease the cold / flu. We've been drinking honey and lemon tea (decaf!) like crazy, just to soothe our throats and hopefully quiet the coughing down but it doesn't work. WAH! We just want to get better!!! [sniff!][sniff!] I still need to study for my MBA exams this week and get ready to leave for a conference!!! Soooo Stressed Out!

So for our dear friends and families...couple of suggestions for the upcoming months:

1. IF YOU WANT TO LEAVE A CARE PACKAGE (i.e. Dinner) FOR US AT THE FRONT DOOR, PLEASE FEEL FREE, WE NEED ALL THE CHICKEN SOUP WE CAN GET OUR HANDS ON!



2. IF YOU ARE SICK OR IF YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING TO BE REMOTELY SICK (i.e. cold, flu, anything contagious), DO NOT COME ANYWHERE NEAR US!!!

Bugaboo Cameleon Stroller

I was looking around the web - looking for stuff we will have to buy for this little one and came across this cool stroller called "Bugaboo Cameleon Stroller" - really cool looking stroller but it probably cost more than my "red" Corolla('94)for about $879. To expensive - might have to get something made like this one from the motherland.

Mama Bear & Papa Bear down with the Flu or something!

Feeling yucky these last few days - wondering how we got this sickness bug that has been going around. Did one of our co-workers infect us or was it during our halloween party that some of those little munchkins gave those germs to us? Well lots of chicken soup and rest - hopefully we will get better soon.

Baby Names - Is it too Early?

Well both the wife and I were talking about Baby names – boy that is going to get messy. Do we go with an English name like the mother – or have a Bhutanese/Chinese name like the Daddy? But before we go over to that subject we should probably decide on the surname. Should we stick with Chhimi (Yes, Chhimi is indeed my last name) or go with my family name which is MA(Chinese). Most likely we are going to confuse the heck out of this kid – daddy is Jigme Chhimi and sometimes goes by the name Ma Kuo Feng – and by some he is just Pumpkin head – (I should just call baby – mini pumpkin) and mom is Tabitha Wong.

I think I would like my child to have my family last name Ma (Chinese Family Name) – we used Chhimi because of schooling purpose and official documentation while living in Bhutan – then as we grew up it just stuck with us. What makes matters worse is that my dad and his siblings – Mom included have English name. (Long story – some Christian Brother from the boarding schools tried to convert them – and gave them their names – Tom (Dad), Bobby, John, Mickey, Mary, Sally and Ellie and Mom is Katy) so you see this could be a hair raising discussion between me and the Wife.

So many decisions… or maybe I should just call my kid Google. I could call the baby FIREFOX!! Sounds really cool though.

Well we were beginning to wonder – if we were doing the right thing – and I kept saying maybe it wasn’t in our stars. But I guess patience does pay off and man this is one sweet payoff.
